Owusua Oppong-Banahene

Owusua is a chartered insurer who has managed various portfolios within the insurance industry in Ghana. She is a versatile risk and insurance management professional, who loves research and learning with a bias for corporate governance.

She has been the Managing Director of GG & B Partners limited a brokerage firm since November 2019.

She previously worked with the First Insurance Company Ltd as the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, during its start-up stages, where she provided leadership and technical and administrative direction for the growth of the organization.

She is known in the industry for exploring new ways of doing things efficiently and effectively while making use of technology.

Owusua has held various other positions, including General Manager Operations at Priority Insurance, Chief Operations Officer at Prime Insurance Company Ltd and Head of Operations and Marketing at Phoenix Life Assurance Company Limited.

She has an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Finance Option from the University of Ghana Business School and is an alumni of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) UK (ACII) as well as the Institute Of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) UK (ACIS).
